Why Saturday club hopping in New York is NOT where it is at

What should you do on a Saturday in New York?  Hang out with your friends, do dinner, maybe a movie, head to Brooklyn, go bowl, golf ...do whatever.  Saturday is the perfect date night, a good day to pick up dry-cleaning, or get a mani/pedi but nightclubbing...not so much.  You are surrounded by people too young to really get it and too drunk to care. It's exhausting, and never ever worth it.

This is the perfect lead to Tenjune... top places I never need to go again!
I understand we went out on the wettest night in the city, but when I step indoors I expect to be dry, well Tenjune was flooded, with tacky people and WATER!
It's really hard to bop to the music while listening to industrial style vacuums sucking up excess water.

I knew it was time to leave when Ronnie from Jersey Shore walked past me, I swear he comes up to my waist.

so we headed to ...

1 Oak
On a Wednesday night I am all game to be here.  I love the weekday crowd, not too pretentious, definitely mature.  On Saturday night...is this an episode of Real World? All I see are somewhat beautiful people trying way too hard in a rain storm.  I also don't need to get shit from the bouncer because the table I am trying to "get at" is next to Busta Rhymes...I'm just saying...it wasn't Rhi Rhi.

You know when you are out, and you come to your peak, you are saying to yourself, I should be in my bed, well I reached that point at like 3AM, but I stayed till 4.  I lost my favorite blazer and tripped on my too-high thigh high boots.  Not a good look for a girl like me.   I am never heading there on a Saturday again... but I haven't given up on my weeknights.

Until my next weekday venture,

From,
Your Huntress
With Love
